Ros was on fire at Blair, winning both the CCI4*-S on Lordships Graffalo and the CCI3*-L on Izilot DHI. In fact she came close to making it a 1-2 in the three star, having held both top spots going in to the final day, but Ros withdrew Shannondale Nadia before the show jumping following a small knock on cross country day.
Lordships Graffalo led from pillar to post, adding just three seconds’ worth of time-faults in the jumping phases to a dressage mark of 25.2.
“He’s an amazing horse. He just has an ability to gallop really fast, balance very quickly, gallop down a hill like he’s on the flat ground and be really careful when he gets there. It appears at the moment that he can cope with any kind of track,” Ros said.
Izilot DHI show jumped clear to complete on his dressage score of 27.1. “I’m absolutely over the moon,” said Ros. “He’s a talent the likes of which I’ve never sat on before – he’s very sharp but his movement and scope is unbelievable, he almost feels like he’s double jointed. I was particularly pleased with how he kept his brain yesterday with so many spectators around.”
