Lordships Parc Royale kept the flag flying for Ros, uncharacteristically her only ride to keep all the coloured poles in their cups. He produced a lovely double clear for a novice third place.
Shannondale Nadia, Izilot DHI and Zenshera all made light work of the cross country, but with showjumping penalties to add – including an unexpected stop from Zenshera who took against one of the fillers – none finished in the ribbons.
Ros posted on Facebook: “When your 15 year old 5 star machine suddenly decides that the blue filler is the spookiest thing he’s ever seen?! The day followed a similar theme for Team Canter but we had some great xc rounds and I still love my gorgeous little Alfie, even if he definately should know better!”
